Story Behind the Invention
Inventor Brian K. Donoho of Louisville, KY has designed a floating platform for holding items while in the water, allowing users to be hands-free so they can enjoy their time in the sun.In the middle of a lake trip with family and friends, Brian was sitting on a square floatation device, with a cup in his hand and observed his loved ones doing the same. It was then Brian was struck with an idea - why not place his cup and water camera on the flotation device so he could have his hands free to float in the water? From there, he knew he was onto something. He thought it would be a great idea to have a product specifically made for this purpose. It could be large enough to let a few people place their cup on it as well, but small enough so it would be lightweight and easy to transport. It would be sturdy enough to ride out the waves. With these ideas in mind, Brian developed Wake Tables! Each table has a flat surface with non-slip coating and two cup holders at each rounded corner. Its sturdy buoyant nature will keep items upright, even in mild waves. As you float around in the pool, lake, or ocean, you will simply stay near the table or use its strap to keep it attached to you. Various color options are possible.Want to learn more about the Wake Table?
