Inventor Timothy J. Donka, II. of Van Alstyne, TX has created a vehicle-attached device that allows for the easy control of a traffic flag or sign from inside the vehicle.The idea was born after seeing flaggers out in the direct elements. Despite the extreme heat, rain, or cold, they would be out there. Additionally, due to their position on the roadway and thus near vehicle traffic, there is also the concern that flaggers may be hit by vehicles whose driver is not paying attention. Timothy just knew there had to be a safer way. In turn, he was inspired to develop the Vehicle Flagger! The invention is a device that allows a flagger to easily control a two-sided traffic flag or sign from the safety of a vehicle. The device mounts to the receiver hitch and extends upward where drivers can easily see it. Thanks to its unique design, the flagger can safely change the sign with a simple tap of the pedal.
