Story Behind the Invention

Inventor Joseph D. Johnson of Annapolis, MD has created an illuminated flashing roadside warning triangle.

With the ever-increasing volume of cars on the road, street and highway safety is a major concern. Most accidents start because of a vehicle breakdown and then escalate into serious injury or death as a result of not being seen. To help with visibility, there are flares, however they burn out and have additional safety risks due to their flammability. As someone who wants to see others prosper in good health, Joseph has compassion for those affected by these avoidable accidents and just knew there had to be a better way. In turn, he was inspired to develop the Traffic Emergency Signaling Device!

The invention is a triangular-shaped warning device equipped with a reflective lens. It also has legs that allow the device to be supported without additional assistance. A waterproof battery box is used to power the signaling device, and an additional power cable connects directly into the cigarette lighter plug of your vehicle.
