Story Behind the Invention

Inventor Thys J. Wind of Raleigh, NC has created an innovative new dual-beverage container with 360 of swivel.

The invention was born during a long training run. As a competitive runner and triathlete for over 25 years, Thys has competed in many prestigious endurance events, including the Boston Marathon and the Ironman World Championship triathlon in Hawaii. A long training run or endurance race requires an athlete to bring along ample water and electrolyte fluids. However, carrying two bottles during training and/or racing is inconvenient. Even for those just going about their daily lives, two bottles can be too much to carry around. Thys just knew there had to be a better way. In turn, he was inspired to develop the Swivel Bottle!

To use, simply rotate the device by spinning the bottle around the central connector ring in order to select your preferred reservoir of stored fluid. The drink is consumed via a one-way nozzle, as with many other popular sport bottles. With a flick of the wrist, you can then rotate the bottle another 180, allowing you to drink from the other reservoir. Various colors are possible to help you differentiate one beverage from the other. The bottle also features a comfortable hand strap system that makes the invention easy to hold for long periods of time.
