Inventor Tamara M. Shoemate of Custer, MI has created a new protective covering for shoes intended for skateboarders and more.

As a mother of a skateboarder, Inventor Shoemate noticed that the grip tape on the skate deck was wearing holes through her sons shoes within 1-2 days. Holes were appearing on the sides, top, and bottom of the shoes. In fact, every two weeks it seemed like her son could use new shoes. Not only was this frustrating, it was costly! In turn, Inventor Shoemate was inspired to create the Shoe Mate Shoe Savers! Her idea will protect shoes and save money for parents and other consumers.

This clever new invention is made of sturdy, pliable rubber. It prevents wear and tear to tennis shoes in an effort to extend the life of the shoe. It is lightweight and flexible enough so skateboarders can still move about and perform tricks. It can also be worn for other sports such as tennis, for the rough courts that frequently wear out shoes. The invention is easy to remove and put back on. Various colors and styles are available.
