Story Behind the Invention

Inventor Brandon E. Williams has created an innovative new device that provides instant language translation from all spoken and written languages into an audible form.

Although electronic translators are available to help with language barriers, they typically require a connection to the internet and do not provide true real-time translation. Brandon just knew there had to be a better way to navigate a language barrier while visiting different countries, studying the language, or even just learning to read. In turn, he developed the Personal Translator Device!

This is a small discrete device that works with speech using an on-board microphone. It then converts the speech to the users own language and transmits it to a Bluetooth earpiece worn by the user. The device also converts written text using a scanning camera located on the tip of the pen. The camera allows the user to scan over a foreign language, while the device reads it out loud in the users native language. The translated words can be spoken or spelled out by letter to help in comprehension. Definitions will also be provided.
