Story Behind the Invention

Inventor Carl L. Efurd of Ruiodoso Downs, NM has created a guard that covers and protects a fishing lure and everything near it from becoming snagged or tangled when the lure is out of the water. This will be a must-have for the fisherman in your life!

As a kid fishing the streams, Inventor Efurd was always snagging willow branches as he would walk from one fishing hole to the next. As he continued fishing throughout the years, hooks and lures were still constantly getting tangled. Not only was this frustrating, it was time consuming trying to untangle everything and begin again. He knew there had to be a solution. This is when his idea for the Partners Protector was born!

This clever new invention was designed to prevent tangling and promote safety. It is envisioned to have a clear plastic body for visibility. Users will insert a lure into the guard and release the guard, ensuring a tight closure. It will be especially ideal in a small boat setting with two or more persons having more than one rod rigged for casting lures.
