Story Behind the Invention
Inventor Jack Taylor of Prescott, AZ has created a lightweight, plastic barrel clip that snaps onto the barrel of virtually any shotgun without hindrance. The idea was born over twenty-five years ago, while quail hunting with his hunting partner in Arizona. They were crossing a fence line chasing a covey of quail. While climbing over, his hunting partner leaned his shotgun against the fence and the shotgun slipped and fell to the ground. At the same time, a piece of barbed wire entangled the trigger, and the shotgun went off narrowly missing both of them! After saying how lucky they were, they continued on with a successful hunt. However, the memory stuck in the back of his mind. In turn, Jack was inspired to develop the Gun Barrel Safety Clip! Now hunters can easily hook a firearm to a support, such as a fence or tree branch, when they need to be hands-free and out of contact with their firearm during moments like crossing a fence. The clip also helps prevent clogging and dirtying of the firearm barrel, since hunters will no longer have to place their firearm in the mud or snow. The clip is easily stored in a pocket, on the barrel of the firearm, or it can be clipped to another item. While a must-have for all hunters, the invention will be essential for every new hunter taking a hunter safety course!Want to learn more about the Gun Barrel Safety Clip?
