Story Behind the Invention

Inventor Luqman L. LaRussa of Lake Charles, LA has created a programmable digital prayer aid for counting religious incantations with precision.

Luqman, a devoted Muslim, quickly realized that common prayer counting aids like tasbihs and rosaries were failing to ensure accuracy in the event a person needs to set them down for whatever reason. Driven by his faith and the desire for spiritual remembrance, Luqman was inspired to invent the Endless Digital Tasbih. This unique device is a digital evolution of traditional prayer counters, offering uninterrupted counts at all times. His invention seamlessly bridges the divide between age-old traditions and modern technology and will enhance the spiritual journey of many.

But how does it work? The invention takes the form of a handheld rosary bead counting tool with a loop of beads partially secured in a hand grip. Using their right hand, a user will rest the device on their index finger and pull one bead at a time with the thumb for each phrase or incantation until they reach their goal. Most notably, the device will notify a user via vibration or tone when they reach their goal. This allows a user to concentrate on his or her prayer and not the device.
