Story Behind the Invention

Inventor Ronnie A. Cowgill of Richland, WA has created an innovative new way of removing frost and ice buildup from a windshield no scraping required!

Maintaining a clean windshield is a necessary step in ensuring driving safety. While windshield wipers and washing spray do an adequate job of keeping the windshield area clean while driving, they cannot cope with any frost, ice, and snow buildup that accumulates while the vehicle is parked. Situations like this require the driver to use an ice scraper and physically remove the buildup. This is not a pleasant task in freezing temperatures, as even gloved hands quickly become numb. To save time, some will only clean a small spot in the center of their windshield just large enough for them to see out and navigate down the road. Not only is this dangerous for the driver, it is unsafe for everyone else on the road, too. Ronnie just knew there had to be a better way. In turn, he developed the Defrost Doctor!

A user will first fill the bag with hot water and seal it closed. They will then attach the handle and simply sweep the bag across the windshield, melting the frost away within moments!
