Story Behind the Invention

STOCKTON, CA: Inventor William P. Anganes announces his patented invention known as the Winch For Turkey Deep Fryers.

Inventor Anganes developed this clever innovation, which is a mechanical apparatus that lowers and raises a turkey, or similar food item, into and out of a large fry pot. The apparatus has a vertically-adjustable tripod stand that is positioned over the top center of the fry pot. A manual or electrical cranking mechanism is then used to lower and raise a steel cable that features a grasping hook or a basket at its end. In use, the food is placed on the hook or in the basket. Then, with the user at a safe distance, the crank is turned, lowering the food into the hot oil in a controlled manner. When the food has finished cooking, the crank is turned in the opposite direction to raise the food from the fryer. The use of the Winch for Turkey Deep Fryers allows for easy and effective cooking with a turkey fry pot while also providing for user safety.
