Story Behind the Invention

Inventor Marcos V. Lucero of El Paso, TX has created an apparatus that assists in the removal of cab and bed bodies from trucks.

A field of work that uses a multitude of specialty tools is that of automotive bodywork. During such work, it is often necessary to completely remove a body structure. Pickup trucks frequently have the bed structure or the cab structure removed. Since these items are very heavy, specialty lifts such as cranes, cherry pickers, and the like are often required. This may require up to four people at one time to make sure that the body structure is carefully staged, lifted and removed. This obviously presents a large cost impact that is not feasible for smaller body shop operations. Inventor Lucero has created a means by which motor vehicle body structures can be easily lifted, removed, and replaced by only one person.

This clever new invention is for use in lifting off motor vehicle bodies. It allows one person to perform the work of up to four people. It reduces the possibility of vehicle damage. It saves time and money. It is ideal for any type of body shop. The use of the Truck Cab and Bed Lift Tool allows one person to lift heavy motor vehicle bodies in a manner which is quick, easy and effective.
