Story Behind the Invention
Inventor Allen H. Daniels of Detroit, MI has designed a cushioning mat to pad, protect, and comfort a workers knee area while on-the-job.
One part of a workers body that takes serious abuse is their knees. This is because the knees bear the weight of ones body while working. Additionally, for roofers, when the temperature rises, asphalt shingles get incredibly hot. Allen just knew there had to be a better way to protect a workers knees. In turn, he developed the Workers Cushion!
While ideal for workers of all trades, the invention was designed with roofers in mind. The invention will protect roofers from the shingles, while also protecting the shingles from any sudden movement that can scuff or tear them, as shingles become much more flexible and fragile in the heat. Users will simply place the invention at a desired worksite, kneel or sit on the cushion, and begin their work. The foam cushion will provide support and protection from the hot asphalt and other harsh conditions. The invention can also be used for other kneeling projects like flooring work or gardening.
