Inventor Conrad Stewart of West Hempstead,NY has designed an apparatus thatautomatically removes the scratch-off portion of instant lottery tickets.

Just about everyone has had thepleasure of playing an instant lottery ticket. However, such a hobby does come with a few disadvantages.  First, it is often hard to find an objectthat can be used to scratch off the ticket. Objects such as fingernails or coins often do an incomplete job and maydamage the ticket.  Secondly, it is oftenhard to find a suitable surface upon which to scratch the ticket.  Additionally, the ticket shavings often soilclothing and floors.  Finally, scratchingtickets takes time and many people are just too excited to wait any longer thanis necessary.  Inventor Stewart has created a means by which instantlottery players can enjoy the game without the disadvantages described above.
