Story Behind the Invention

Inventor Cory C. Looman of South Haven, MN has designed a new fishing hook cover to ensure hooks stay sharp and away from you, your family, pets, and your belongings.

An avid fishing enthusiast, Cory was continuously getting his fishing hooks caught in his fishing bag. It would take a long time trying to remove them, especially if they were barbed hooks. In addition to his bag, the hooks would tear anything nearby like clothing or vehicle upholstery. It was also a hazard having these hooks near his skin or around his friends and family. He just knew there had to be a better way. In turn, Cory was inspired to develop the Hook Saver!

Simply open the two-piece unit. Place a hook into one side of the device with the line through the top hole. Then snap together the two pieces, making sure that the line moves freely in the top hole. The invention is then hooked onto the fishing pole for transport or safety.
