Story Behind the Invention
Inventor Kristopher E. Romo of Reardan, WA has created a hand held tool specifically designed to remove studs from snow tires.
Those of us who live in areas where the winter climate brings snow, sleet and ice know the hazards associated with driving an automobile under these conditions. Inclement weather can cause roads and highways to become extremely slippery in literally a matter of minutes and without warning. Many people turn to the use of studded snow tires to increase traction and stopping power. While studs greatly add to the traction of the tire, it is often necessary to remove such studs for various reasons. Typical stud removal is performed by simply grabbing the stud with a pair of pliers and pulling it out by brute strength. Such a method is not only tiring but also a safety issue if pliers slip. Inventor Romo has created a means by which studs can be removed from snow tires in an effort to address these issues.
This clever new invention removes studs easily and safely. It eliminates using pliers to pull studs out. Very little physical strength is required. It is great for the do-it-yourselfer. It works with all types and sizes of studs. The use of the Snow Tire Stud Removing Tool allows for the quick and easy removal of studs from snow tires in a manner which is not only quick, easy and effective, but safe as well.
