Story Behind the Invention

Inventor Joel W. Halfmann of San Angelo, TX has created an apparatus designed to protect ones hands from sharp edges when climbing a T post fence.

Safety in the workplace is among the highest of employer priorities and concern. Legislation is continually being defined and put in place in order to improve workplace safety and reduce the amount of worker injuries. One aspect of safety that receives scrutiny is that of accidental impalement on pipes, conduit, and concrete reinforcing bars that protrude from a horizontal surface. These same issues also apply to T-posts, fence posts, stakes, and similar objects around a home or farm. Inventor Halfmann has acknowledged this safety hazard and developed a protective device for use on dangerous protruding items.

This clever new invention prevents accidental impalements and similar injuries. It consists of tubular-shaped metal with a round plate top. It is coated in plastic and reusable. It secures in place by gravity. The use of the Fence Post Safety Cover eliminates accidental impalements and similar injuries in a manner which is not only quick, easy, and effective, but safe as well.
