Story Behind the Invention

Inventor Michelle A. Brown of Rancho Cucamonga, CA has developed an infant blanket system for use with child carrying harnesses.

Child carrying harnesses allow parents and care providers to safely and securely carry a child while doing various activities. A disadvantage to having the child in a secure harness is that large winter coats or garments cannot be accommodated, putting those who live in cold or cool climates at a disadvantage. Although a blanket can be wrapped around the child after being placed in the harness, blankets are prone to falling off and do not completely cover the child or keep them warm. Inventor Brown has developed a quick and easy means by which a harnessed child can be kept sufficiently warm.

This clever new invention consists of a fabric cover that keeps the child warm and helps them to retain body heat. It is equipped with a hood to protect the childs head from cold, inclement weather and is form-fitted and easily opened and closed for ease of use. The use of the Blanket Cover for Baby Carrying Harness allows for the safety and warmth of a child while using a baby carrying harness in any weather conditions.
