Story Behind the Invention

Inventor Donald W. Alvis of Oregon, WI has created a portable AC power source that attaches to a user via a backpack. No extension cord needed!

While maintaining three yards, Donald became frustrated with having to maneuver around trees and other hazards with extension cords. He tried battery power trimmers and blowers but became frustrated with those as the batteries did not last long and he had to purchase several batteries and keep them charged in order to finish the job. He also tried a gas-powered trimmer, but it was too heavy and clumsy, and it didnt perform as well as his electric trimmer. Donald then saw a 2000-watt inverter in a store and an idea began to take shape. He thought if he could get a big enough battery and put the inverter and battery on a backpack rack, he could then use his trimmer, blower, chainsaw, or anything else that needed AC power without having to deal with extension cords. After testing this idea for a few years, the Portable AC Power Pac has been developed further and is ready for market!

The invention is a portable 120 volt alternating current (AC) power source that is attached to a user via a backpack. Simply put on the backpack and plug in your electric lawn equipment, or any other electric tool. You will now be able to do whatever work you need as far away from your house as necessary, without worrying about those annoying extension cords! There are two options: battery powered, or gas powered. There is even the option to pull the invention around like luggage because it comes with wheels.
