Story Behind the Invention
MCKINNEY, TX Inventors Charlotte Semrau & Amanda Richter announce their patent pending invention known as the Chest of Blocks with Interchangeable Decorative Fronts.
Inventors Semrau & Richter developed this clever innovation, which is a unique educational toy for children as well as a novel, but functional, piece of furniture. Each block is approximately four inches square across its front elevation and approximately 10 inches deep. The blocks are arranged in a chest of four rows with six blocks in each row. Having worked in day care, the inventors attest that the blocks have been used as toys themselves, providing hours of fun for the children in their care. The blocks would be painted in various bright colors as an educational way to learn colors. Additionally, the front of each block could be decorated with a thematic element, such as letters, numbers, dinosaurs, cars, dolls, trucks, food symbols sport symbols and the like. It is envisioned that the thematic element would be interchangeable such that it can be updated as the child grows older. The Chest of Blocks with Interchangeable Decorative Fronts is a unique toy that not only aids in developmental skills but provides hours of fun as well.
