Story Behind the Invention

Inventor Johnstan Joseph of Bronx, NY has created a head and neck support system for use on a child car seat to provide increased protection and comfort.

Infants require the utmost care in order to protect and keep them safe from harm. One of the most common items that comes to mind when thinking of infant safety is the car seat. However, car seats are generally ergonomically unfriendly, and place more emphasis on restraint than comfort. A particular problem is the child’s head which tends to end up at awkward angles when the child is sleeping. Such a position is not only uncomfortable for the child, but can pose additional stress on the child’s neck in the event of a sudden stop or crash. Inventor Joseph has created a means by which the ergonomic properties of car seats can be improved.

This clever new invention supports and cradles a child’s head. It has hinged movable arms that fold in and out. It ensures that a child’s head is properly positioned. It is washable and can be used for nearly all types of car seats. The use of the Infant Car Seat Head Restraint provides not only for increased comfort for a car seat bound child with regards to head support, but also provides for increased safety as well, in a manner which is quick, easy, and effective.
