Story Behind the Invention

Inventor Christianson of Eagan, MN has created a hockey game set for the fun and excitement of hockey in an indoor home environment.

Hockey is a very popular sport that can be played in spring, summer, fall, as well as in the winter. The game is typically played on ice, or at least outdoors. This greatly reduces the ability for many to enjoy the game that may live in areas with inclement weather, or those without access to a hockey rink. The elderly or disabled, or those of a different skill level than other players, are also not able to enjoy the physical aspects of the game. Inventor Christianson has created a means by which the thrills associated with the game of hockey can be enjoyed by all, regardless of access, or ability to be on a hockey rink.

This clever new invention includes a playing field, pucks, and hockey sticks. It is for children and adults. A large plastic rink allows a puck to slide like on ice. The invention has the same aspects of the game of hockey, but at a reduced scale. The first one to reach 10 points wins. The use of the Indoor Hockey Game provides the ability for hockey lovers of all ages and physical abilities to enjoy the action of the sport, regardless of their ability to access a conventional hockey rink.
