Story Behind the Invention

Inventor Lisa Halko, a registered nurse from Leoville, SK has created a bag for home care nurses to store, transport, and organize various items used in patient assesment and care.

Home care nurses must carry around many tools, materials, and supplies. These items include blood pressure monitoring devices, blood sugar monitoring devices, thermometers, bandages, gauze, scissors, adhesive tape, stethoscopes, paperwork, and so much more. Originally Inventor Halko used a duffle bag while on the job, however, it only had one large compartment in the center. She wished she had something else to make it easier to visualize the bag's contents. In turn, Inventor Halko created the Home Care Nursing Bag. Now users can stock all their necessary items and remain organized and commute-ready.

This clever new invention allows for easy transportation of supplies and equipment from medical clinics or offices to sites of service. It has numerous compartments and pockets. It offers good visibility of supplies. The bag is strong and durable. It can be carried by its handles or simply placed on a shoulder. The use of the Home Care Nursing Bag gives home care nurses access to frequently used items in a manner that is not only quick, easy, and effective, but provides for a higher quality of patient care, too.
