Hospital Bed Footboard with Therapeutic Pumps

Inventor Paul Cuneo of Berlin, NJ has created a system and method by which various pumps and equipment for a bedridden patient are incorporated into the footboard assembly of a hospital bed.

Health care professionals rely on several different types of pumps. However, all of these various pumps occupy space, have power cords, input and output tubing, and the like, which presents a haphazard and cluttered appearance. Should the wrong pump be disconnected due to tangled cords or tubing, patient care can suffer. Inventor Cuneo has created a means by which various pumps and systems used in the care of a bedridden hospital patient can be organized in the footboard assembly of ones bed.

This clever new invention allows for better patient care and comfort. The device is a mounting and organizing area for a patients pumps. It features integral wiring and tubing routing areas and plug in ports for quick connection. Pumps are controlled via a footboard mounted control panel or a wired remote control.
