A great number of people around the world enjoy fishing. Whether fishing for food or for the sport of it, the calmness and serenity fishing brings, coupled with the excitement of landing a big catch makes fishing a popular pastime.However, for some people, long periods of holding a rod while nothing is happening can be boring and tedious. As a result, many fishermen resort to placing their rod against something while waiting for a fish to bite. This often results in a lost catch or even a lost fishing rod if a fish should strike when a fisherman is away or unaware. Inventor Harvey has created a means of attaching an alerting device to an existing fishing rod to better notify fishermen of a fish on the line.
This clever new invention has an alert bell or rattle. It reduces the chance of lost catches or lost fishing rods. A fisherman can cast and re-cast without having to remove the device.
