Story Behind the Invention
Inventor John Arthur Albrecht, II of Daleville, AL has created a cooler with two compartments and adjustable and removable divider shelves to keep ice from leaking onto food and creating a soggy mess.
Spending time in the great outdoors is a favorite leisure time activity. Whether it is fishing, camping, picnicking, having a cookout, or just a simple party, a great deal of time is spent preparing and consuming food and drink. A piece of equipment commonly found at these activities is the picnic cooler. While it is very good at holding large amounts of beverages in ice such as beer and soda, it does not do a very good job of holding other items such as hot food, paper products, bread, condiments, and eating utensils. These things can be placed in the cooler if there is room, but quickly become soggy should they come in contact with the melted ice. Inventor Albrecht has created a means by which a common picnic cooler can be adapted to carry, store, and organize items other than iced food without these disadvantages.
This clever new invention separates hot and cool foods with thermal dividers. A left compartment holds ice and beverages. It eliminates carrying additional containers and bags. It reduces making multiple trips and saves space when packing. The use of the Dual Compartment Cooler provides a means for transporting all types of items associated with a picnic along with the cold food in a manner which is quick, easy, and effective.
