Story Behind the Invention

Inventor Richard Glen Krompiec, a general contractor from Pincourt, QC has created a heat gun attachment that aids in the removal of caulking and many other materials from all types of surfaces.

Caulking is commonly used in all phases of building and construction projects. However caulking must be removed during maintenance, repair, and remodeling projects. This is often done by using a heat gun to warm and soften the caulking, and a scraper or putty knife to remove it. This sometimes requires two separate hands which is not easy when working at elevated, or very low positions. Inventor Krompiec has created a means by which old caulking can be removed, without the disadvantages of current methods.

This clever new invention attaches to a conventional heat gun. It has multiple blade options. It eliminates the need for a separate scraper. It is ideal for professional contractors and is able to be re-sharpened. The use of the Device for Removing Caulking allows for the easy removal of old caulking, in a manner which is quick, easy, and effective.
