Inventor William Kammermayer of Canada has developed a way to instantly show drivers behind you just how quickly you are slowing down. Rear-end collisions are a persistent danger on our roads, largely because traditional brake lights offer limited information. They signal that a driver has pressed the brake pedal but fail to show how quickly the vehicle is slowing down. William saw this gap as a critical safety flaw, especially at highway speeds, inspiring him to create DE-BRAKE.

This innovation transforms a vehicle's third brake light into a real-time deceleration indicator. The harder the brakes are applied, the faster and brighter the light flashes, clearly communicating the slowdown rate to following drivers. Additionally, when the ABS system engages on slick surfaces, DE-BRAKE flashes rapidly to warn of hazardous road conditions.
