Colander Tray for Coolers

Inventor Marc E. Rodriguez of Alvin, TX has created a strainer platform for use inside of a portable ice cooler that is intended to keep game meat cold, but without the possibility of it sitting in contaminated ice water.

Many hunters use a portable ice cooler to bring wild game meat home. Often game meat remains in the cooler on ice for several days to allow it to "bleed out". During this process, the ice will melt over the meat, and slowly drain to the bottom of the cooler. However, this means that there is always water and drained blood left in the bottom of the cooler with the meat sitting in it. This is an unsanitary condition and can lead to premature spoilage of the meat.
