Story Behind the Invention
Inventor Marie R. Kalista has created a restraining system for an infant or child for use in a pool or similar environment.
Young children require the utmost care in order to protect and keep them safe from harm. While there appears to be a product to protect infants from a seemingly endless list of dangers, products to protect them in the water are especially critical. Of course an adult or care provider can hold them, but then they are isolated from the water, and generally prohibited from playing in it. Additionally, the parent or care provider is then unable to help, care for, or assist other children who may be in the water as well. Inventor Kalista has created a means by which young children can be protected from harm when in any type of body of water, yet be afforded a playful and fun experience as well.
This clever new invention functions like a child walker, but in water. It is adjustable to suit pools of varying depth. It increases fun for a child. It provides peace of mind for a parent or care provider. The device is for both above ground pools and in ground pools. The use of the Child Walker for Pools provides increased safety for children during water-based recreation in a manner that is quick, easy, and effective.
