The Chalk Line Device with Interchangeable Reel is a refillable chalk box for carpenters that allows for different colors to avoid errors in the field, make work easier, and avoid delays.
Inventor Jeffrey A. Smalley, a land surveyor from Lasalle, ON has created a refillable chalk box for carpenters that allows for different colors to avoid errors in the field, make work easier, and avoid delays.
Snap chalk lines are one of the most widely used and essential construction tools in existence. They can be used to mark leveling lines on walls, floors, stairs, etc. to provide a guide for subsequent leveling work, such as cutting or installing. When the chalk line is deployed from the housing, held tight, and snapped, the chalk line reveals a chalk mark in a straight line on the substrate. Repeated use of the chalk line will degrade the line over time, so more chalk will need to be added to the housing, or the device will need replaced altogether. Inventor Smalley has created a means to provide a secure housing for retaining a chalk line reel so that the entire housing wont need replaced, but just the chalk line reel itself. Multiple reels having different size chalk lines or different colors can be used within the housing.
This clever new invention has an interchangeable chalk line chamber for multiple colors. It is made of weather resistant construction. It has an ergonomic shape and is durable to stand up to working conditions. It replaces the line quickly and easily. The use of the Chalk Line Device with Interchangeable Reel provides the latest in construction supply!
