Story Behind the Invention

Silverton, CO Inventor Clifford Stephen Jaramillo announces his patent pending invention known as the Cargo Stretch Tarp Cover.

Inventor Jaramillo developed this clever innovation, which is a tarpaulin cover with an integral, web-like elastic system that ensures that it remains taut when in use. The tarpaulin is tied down and secured in a conventional manner. During usage as loads shift, winds blow or other destabilizing forces occur, the internal elastic nature of the cover allows the cover to give and take with the covered material while remaining taut at all times. It is intended to eliminate the usage of rocks, logs, straps and other materials that are commonly used to hold tarpaulins down and prevent flapping. Thus, the chances of damage to the tarpaulin itself are greatly reduced. The use of the Cargo Stretch Tarp Cover provides a means to hold down a protective tarpaulin that is not only effective, but easy to use.
