Story Behind the Invention
Inventor Raymund Gobert of Elton, LA has created a locking mechanism for fifth-wheel style trailers with a king pin hitch.
Fifth wheel trailers are commonly towed by a pickup truck with a special receiver hitch located in the bed. While these trailers are used and appreciated due to their functionality, they are also very prone to theft. Unfortunately, the universal design of the king pin hitch used with these trailers means that they are easy to steal in matter of seconds. Many of these thefts occur when someone pulls up a truck and simply drives away with a trailer filled with supplies, materials, or tools. Other trailers house compressors, generators, and fuel which are easily driven off and sold as well. After several campers were stolen in his area, Inventor Gobert was inspired to create the Boot Lock for a Camper!
This clever new invention prevents unauthorized use and theft. With the invention and lock in place, no surface of the pin can be accessed. It quickly installs and removes. It is perfect for trailers that spend significant time unhitched from a truck. The device can be used with RVs, horse trailers, construction trailers, and more! For more information act now!
