Story Behind the Invention

Inventor Clyde M. Siewert of Charlotte, MI has created a boat cover that remains attached to a boat trailer and is intended for longer term off-season storage as well as weekly storage during boating season.

Owning and maintaining a boat takes a great deal of time and money. This is especially true during the preparation of a boat for off-season storage. Benches and chairs must be removed so a conventional cover will lay flat. The user must then find storage locations for these seating surfaces as well as other boating accessories. The boat cover must then be installed with the hopes that it does not become loose during the winter months, which would allow the elements access to the inside of the boat, causing damage. Even if the cover should remain intact, water and snow often pool on top of the cover, which makes removal difficult in the spring. Inventor Siewert has created a means by which boats and boating accessories can be easily and securely covered for wintertime storage.

This clever new invention is lightweight, sturdy, and durable. It does not touch the boat. Water or snow will not pool upon the surface of the cover. It is ideal for any type of boat. It comes standard or as an add-on kit for existing boat trailers. The use of the Boat Trailer Canopy provides the ability to protect boats and boating accessories, in a manner which is quick, easy, and effective.
