Story Behind the Invention
Inventor Pawel A. Poltorak of Franklin Park, IL has created a disposable and biodegradable liner and support frame for use on a lawn mower as a grass catcher.
Perhaps the most common power tool used for maintaining and beautifying lawns and landscape is the lawnmower. While recent advances in lawn mowing technology has produced the recycling mower, there are still many times when cut grass needs to be caught and removed from the lawn, such as when the grass is too high, or leaves are present. Most people rely on the grass clipping bag. However, once filled, the clippings must be transferred to another bag for disposal or recycling. This takes a lot of time, and often results in the situation where cut grass misses the bag and must be picked up or raked by hand, which takes even more time. Another issue is that these bags are typically not biodegradable, and will remain in landfills or compost piles for years. This is ironic because the material trapped inside will quickly decompose, and could become valuable compost. Inventor Poltorak has created a means by which cut grass clippings can be removed without these disadvantages.
This clever new invention allows for direct catching and retention of grass clippings. It eliminates the need to empty a grass bag for disposal. It has a biodegradable liner. It can be re-used for up to three weeks. It fits most lawnmowers. The use of the Adaptable, Disposable Grass Catching Bag for Lawnmowers allows for the simplified collection and disposal of grass clippings, in a manner which is quick, easy, and effective.
