Story Behind the Invention

Inventors Connor and Samantha Smith of Kearney, NE have developed a new restaurant style high chair with an adjustable back system.

While out at restaurants, Connor and Samantha were always stuffing blankets behind their daughter to get her in the high chair correctly. This can be a problem for many parents. Children will slouch down while eating or even fall to the side if their muscles and coordination are not fully developed in order for them to remain upright. Connor and Samantha just knew there had to be a better way. The A+ Restaurant High Chair is their solution.

But how does it work? The invention was designed to slide back-and-forth, and then down into the lock position at one of 4 tracks. This enhanced level of adjustability ensures kids of all sizes remain upright. No longer will they slide down or need propped up by items like a blanket or coat. Not only will this be more comfortable for the child it will be safer, too. A buckle attached to the back of the chair moves along as well, so the child will be securely fastened at all times. After use, the invention can be stacked, just like other high chairs, until needed again.
