But how does it work? A smart phone app allows you to identify your firearm by a barcode, as well as a nickname. Should the gun be moved, the invention tracks the firearm. It will send a message to your smart phone, along with a dedicated ringtone, plus a map, depicting the location of the gun. You will now immediately know if a gun is in the hands of your child. If the firearm has been stolen, a special button on the app allows you to inform law enforcement of the missing gun and its location.
