Story Behind the Invention

Inventor Walter Bertelsman of Millstadt, IL has created a safety seal for the top of a water jug to keep germs, dust, and dirt away.

The neck of a water jug is often filthy as a result of improper storage or exposure. There is no telling who has all touched the jug beforehand. Transferring the cap to the water cooler may keep the jug clean, but this will contaminate a cooler instead. These days, with the pandemic in mind, keeping things clean and sanitized has never been more important. In turn, Walter was inspired to develop the Water Jug Safety Seal!

Built to keep contamination at bay, the safety seal makes it possible for users to enjoy clean water without worry of germs or having to constantly clean up dust and dirt. The seal is one piece and easy to use and remove.
