Story Behind the Invention

Inventor Narasimha Babi Reddy of Williamsville, NY has designed an innovative new container with a separate slot to keep a spoon right alongside an ingredient.

We all use containers to store ingredients in the kitchen for daily use, or companies sell ingredients within a container. We usually have one spoon in each container to measure the ingredient for cooking or baking. We then insert the spoon back into the container, or we decide the spoon must be washed first. There are several problems with this. First, containers do not usually include compatible spoons and it can be hard to find a compatible spoon at home. Spoons can be too long, making it difficult to close the lid with a spoon inside the container. Shorter spoons make it challenging to reach the ingredient when it is low in the container. If we do find a spoon the fits, it can be hard to insert it back into a container filled with solid state ingredients, as we need to push through the filled ingredient. Next, we must consider jars with a lid and spoon hole, or containers where the spoon is stored on the outside. This exposes ingredients and the spoon to air and bacteria. Also, containers with additional spoon sections with an additional lid require extra effort and balance while using them and they can cause accidents. Narasimha just knew there had to be a better way. In turn, she was inspired to create the Integrated Container for Kitchen!

During use, the lid is removed, and a compatible spoon is found within its own compartment inside the container. No longer will you have to go through the hassle of finding the right size spoon. The spoon is separated from the ingredient while still residing next to the ingredient. You also wont have to deal with the difficulty of pushing the spoon into a container of solid ingredients after each use. It is simply inserted back into the slot and the lid is closed completely. When not in use, the spoon is never exposed to air and bacteria. Plus, the spoon no longer has to be washed after every use.
