Story Behind the Invention
Inventor Jack MacFarlane of Oshawa, ON has created a spring loaded circular base assembly for use with telescoping beach umbrellas.
Many people use a beach umbrella for protection from the sun and privacy as well. However, beach umbrellas are prone to becoming dislodged in even the slightest of breeze, sometimes even blowing about the beach. This can damage the umbrella beyond repair, requiring costly replacement. Often a beach umbrella is not pushed into the sand far enough. Even those that do have the great physical strength to push it in, often find that the lack of pole surface area, the texture of the sand, or the moisture in the sand can affect the umbrellas performance. Inventor MacFarlane has created a means by which beach umbrellas can be firmly fastened into sand, without regard to the users physical strength, sand conditions, or environmental conditions
This clever new invention has a twist lock system that holds beach umbrellas, even in high winds. It prevents loss and damage to umbrellas. It is ideal for hotels and resorts. It is made of strong, long-lasting metal. It also works with tent poles, dining canopies, and the like. The use of the Beach Umbrella with Telescoping Pole and Base Plate provides users the ability to securely fasten a beach umbrella into the sand in a manner which is quick, easy, and effective.
