Keyboard with Touchpad and Mouse

Inventor Ernesto I. Delgado of Weatherford, OK has created a computer keyboard which also provides the functionality of a touchpad pointing device.

Using the familiar point and click methodology of a conventional computer mouse, a user simply glides the mouse over the desk surface or mouse pad in order to position the screen cursor over the desired button or icon, and activates it with the mouse click-button. While these devices are user-friendly, the use of a computer mouse does present some drawbacks. First, a typical user must spend time moving their hand from the keyboard to the mouse, and back again. This not only wastes time, but forces the user to look away from the screen, find the mouse, locate the pointer on the screen, and perform the operation. Additionally, the mouse occupies valuable desktop space, and the cables often cause a cluttered or disorganized look. Inventor Delgado has created a means by which computer mouse functionality can be provided without the use of a separate mouse.  

This clever new invention is located on the right hand side of a keyboard. It eliminates the need for a separate mouse. It reduces overcrowding on desktops. There are wired and wireless versions. The invention allows a user to keep their hands on the keyboard. The use of the Keyboard with Touchpad and Mouse provides a means for manipulation of a computer pointing device, without the use of a mouse, in a manner which is quick, easy, and effective.
