Story Behind the Invention
Inventor Danielle M. Rosso of Williamsburg, VA has developed a thickly padded mat which organizes items and gives the user comfortable support while lying outside.
Very few leisure time activities rival spending a warm summer day at the beach. Most people usually bring a large assortment of items with them while on the beach such as towels, books, music players, and drinks. All of these items must be transported from their cars, bicycles, or beach homes down to the beach itself, which often requires multiple trips back and forth from the beach. Additionally, many find the comfort and padding afforded by beach towels unsatisfactory, forcing one to sacrifice comfort while trying to enjoy the beach. Inventor Rosso has created a portable cushioned mat that is high in comfort and low on hassle.
This clever new invention consists of two thick foam cushions that fold together and is easily transported with its integral carrying strap. The cushions are covered in vinyl for waterproof protection, but can be covered by the included removable terrycloth cover. Also included are a cup holder, an attachable headrest with speakers and an iPod hookup, and a carrying case with backpack straps and pockets to conveniently carry all of your beach-going needs. The use of the Modular Outdoor Mat allows for a quick and easy way to store and transport ones beach items.
