Story Behind the Invention
Inventor Ron Melnick of Agassiz, BC has created a retractable wall partition for use on outdoor balconies with adjacent balconies to provide privacy.
Balcony areas that are commonly adjacent to other nearby units offer many advantages. Not only do they offer a great view of the surrounding neighborhood, an increase in living space, and a connection to the outdoor world, they also offer a great place to congregate with others. However, because of their nearby proximity to other balconies, with only a partition separating the two balconies, privacy is often non-existent. Even if ones neighbor is not outside, a direct view in and out of their window or door is possible. Permanent partitions are usually not preferred because they can negatively affect ones outside view. Inventor Melnick has created a means by which adjacent balconies on housing units can be provided with privacy as needed.
This clever new invention quickly deploys or retracts in seconds. It is made of Plexiglas. The frame system attaches to an exterior wall surface. It provides securitybetween balconies. It is great for hotels, condominiums, town houses, apartments, or the like. The use of the
Privacy Shade for Balcony provides for increased privacy on outdoor balconies on as needed basis, in a manner which is quick, easy, and effective.
