Story Behind the Invention

Inventor James R. Lackemeyer of Walkersville, MD has created an apparatus to help locate where a vehicle is parked.

Inventor Lackemeyer was inspired to create this device after getting off the bus at an airport with his friends after returning from a trip to Columbia. The bus dropped them off in the middle of a parking lot of 600 vehicles. It was 2:30 in the morning and everyone was extremely tired and couldnt find their car. Lackemeyer and his friends walked around for one hour and finally, once they were within range of the car, set off its alarm to find it. The found it only by sound, since they couldnt see the headlights because of all the other cars in close proximity. This is a very common problem and becomes even more frustrating when tired, carrying luggage or bags, or with children.

This clever new invention is for use in large parking lots or garages. It saves time and frustration. It is easy to use. Users can customize the color and flashing pattern of the inventions LED. The invention could also function as an emergency alert system. The Telescoping Beacon for Vehicles is a handy reminder device that allows for quick location of a parked vehicle in a manner which is quick, easy, and effective.
