Story Behind the Invention
Inventor Barry John Cullinane of Highland Mills, NY has created an umbrella with an offset shaft to allow for better positioning of the umbrella canopy to aid in keeping a user much dryer.
With their simple but effective design, umbrellas have served mankind well over the years. However, umbrellas suffer from one common flaw in that the handle and shaft must be positioned away from the body when using. This position places the canopy of the umbrella off to one side of the user, leaving the other side of the users body at the very edge of the umbrella, or even beyond. This subjects the user to rain, especially in blowing and driving rain conditions. Inventor Cullinane has created a means by which umbrellas can provide complete and maximum coverage for all extents of the users body.
This clever new invention has a smooth operation. It places the canopy over the exact center of a users body. It is great for extreme rain conditions. The device easily stores in pouch, pocket, or purse. Various colors, styles, and sizes are available. The use of the Umbrella with Off-Centered Canopy provides an elegant solution for keeping umbrella users dryer, in a manner which is quick, easy, and effective.
