Story Behind the Invention

Inventor William F. McMahon of Canandaigua, NY has developed a device that holds electrical wiring safely in position between wall studs while drywall is being installed.

Drywall workers are frequently known to cover up such cables during the drywall process. Accordingly, there exists a need for a means by which wiring can be accurately and securely positioned such that the drywall process does not cover, damage, or move it. The development of the Wiring Harness fulfills this need.

This clever new invention features a strap with multiple knockout holes that attaches horizontally to the face of the stud with nails or staples. No more cable fishing or wall patching. It provides quick placement for direct-wired fixtures. The use of the Wiring Harness allows for secure and easy pre-positioning of electrical cables within a wall space prior to the installation of drywall.
