Story Behind the Invention

Inventor Richard G. Winkler of Warwick, RI has created a unique method to hold, store and cut rolled materials such as wrapping paper, textiles, and similar materials.

The process wrapping a gift starts by hunting down all the necessary items such as paper, ribbons, gift tags, tape, a marking pen and a pair of scissors. Typically, a user can find these items torn and smashed from improper storage. Additionally, the process of cutting the paper is usually done freehand and results in wasted paper, irregular corners and ragged edges. The resultant wrapped gift, while done with good intentions, looks less than professional. Inventor Winkler has developed a means by which gifts can be beautifully wrapped at home in a manner that is efficient and easy.

This clever new invention features a replaceable circular blade for accurate and easy cutting of wrapping paper, fabrics, and other materials available on a roll. By storing all materials in one location it eliminates damage to products, saves time and decreases frustration. Additionally, the invention features detachable storage compartments that can attach to each other separately. These compartments can hold wrapping and textile supplies. Finally, the invention features a detachable tape dispenser. The use of the Wrap Buddy makes wrapping gifts just as fun as giving them.
