Story Behind the Invention

Inventor William A. Woodward, a welder and pipefitter from Old Bridge, NJ has created a specialized welding torch used in tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding to aid in the production of high quality welds.

Tungsten inert gas welding is when a tungsten electrode operating in an inert gas environment produces a weld. TIG welding is ideal due to its versatility, speed, and superior weld characteristics. Unfortunately, the TIG welding process requires the welder to move the welding torch or electrode back and forth very rapidly. Improper movement results in low quality work that must be redone. Unfortunately, such movement is difficult to master for new welders and becomes burdensome for experienced welders who must perform it all throughout the workday. In turn, Inventor Woodward created the Vibrating Welding Torch Attachment.

This clever new invention is ideal for all types of TIG welding. It provides automatic vibrating/oscillating movement. While great for all welders, it helps new welders master the correct movement. The device saves time and money. Its also provided with a recharging station to hold and recharge torches while not in use. Now welders can produce high quality TIG welds in a manner which is quick, easy, and effective. Act now!
