Story Behind the Invention
Inventor Robert Loucks of New York has created an important new safety device that will prevent ladder slippage or kick outs.
With over 30 years in the home remodeling and construction business, Robert knew the benefits of having an additional person around to hold a ladder while performing a task. However, if no one was available, they would resort to using ropes, 2x4's, or whatever means they could to make sure the ladder would not slide or kick out while working. Methods like this are extremely risky and can lead to serious injury or even death. Robert just knew there had to be a better way to guarantee everyones safety. In turn, he developed the Ladder Safety Stabilizer!
During use, a worker will simply set up a ladder in as stable a position as possible. They will then hook the stabilizer around any ladder rung, preferably the 3rd or 4th rung from the bottom. Two pins are applied, making it impossible for the invention to come off the ladder during use. The center of the stabilizer will extend to accommodate any distance or angle. The end comes to a T with two holes per side, so it can then be mounted on a structure, as needed, with screws. Its that easy!
