Story Behind the Invention

Inventors and husband and wife team, Frank Clementi and Amalia Olivera of Annandale, VA have created a new hands-free way of transporting pet droppings for disposal.

Getting outside to walk your dog is a pleasure enjoyed by many. However, when it comes time to pick up their waste, the feeling of a dropping in your hand, separated by only a thin plastic bag, can make many squeamish and disgusted. Frank and Amalia just knew there had to be a better way. In turn, they were inspired to develop the Poopsy Bag!

The invention is worn around the waist as you take one or multiple dogs outside. When it comes time to pick up their droppings, you will pull a collection bag from one of the two compartments located on either side of the belt assembly. After collecting the waste and tying up the bag, you will simply lift the containers magnetic flap and drop the bag into its interior compartment. This is where the bag will remain until you come across a place to dispose of it. In the meantime, both of your hands will be free to do other things like hold a leash and take care of your dog. The invention features ventilation holes, an area for holding an air deodorizer, and a light for locating droppings at night. For every bag sold, $1.00 will go to animal rescue.
